London International Academy
London International Academy (LIA) is an Ontario Certified Full-time Boarding High School, which was established in 2002, located in London, Ontario, Canada. LIA provides grade 9 to 12 high school and pre-university courses leading to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The '4U' courses offered at LIA qualify students for entrance to universities across Canada.
London International Academy also offers TOEFL, IELTS & COPE preparation courses all year round and summer and winter Language Camp for youth 11-18 years old. LIA students have consistently made remarkable academic achievements in successfully entering prestigious universities in Canada and in the United States.
Students attending LIA can take advantage of a strong culture of academic achievement and a student body known for its work ethic and exemplary conduct. Our school, with a strong historic connection to China, is becoming increasingly diversified, and aims to welcome students from every corner of the globe. There are two premier post- secondary institutions in London: Fanshawe College and famous Western University
Student Services
LIA has two residences: Ivy Hall and King St. The Student Life Manager ensures that students are comfortable and safe and that they have a caring team of dormitory staff. There are three locations at which students can use their meal cards throughout the year.
The student affairs manager arranges an exciting program of special events throughout the school year including trips to Toronto and Niagara Falls, Halloween, Valentines, Christmas and Easter events and several talent showcases. LIA organizes and coordinates student council elections and student council meetings throughout the year, allowing students to develop practical experience and leadership skills.
Students at LIA also have a variety of clubs and activities offered throughout the year such as the engineering club, various sports tournaments and the culture club.LIA's Guidance Counselor meets individually with each student throughout the year to assist with university application, matching courses to prerequisites, helping to fill out application forms and arranging a schedule of university information sessions. The guidance counsellor also organizes the learning support program which helps students reach the level of academic achievement required by their university programs.
