We are accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK, and are part of Quality Education and Quality English.  We run English, Science or Maths courses for students aged 10-17. 2-27 July & 30 July-20 August 2017.

Lessons are timetabled Monday to Friday between 0900 and 1500, with classes a maximum of 14 students. All students do a weekly test, and obtain a certificate of attendance and report.

Our recreation programme begins daily at 1530 and includes activities such as art, music, drama, sport, swimming, outdoor adventure and more. Students under 12 are part of Cubs Club which involves a supervised, structured timetable of activities.

We run two excursions every week to local towns, cities and places of interest including Oxford, Cambridge and London.

Our Oxbridge Preparation course is for 16-18 year olds who plan to apply to the UK’s top universities for some of the most competitive subject specialisms. Concord College’s main term students have an impressive record of offers from top universities such as Oxford and Cambridge, Imperial College London, London School of Economics and University College London and these preparation courses support motivated, academically gifted students to realise their ambitions.

This programme is designed by Concord's own Oxbridge-educated teaching professionals and will help students demonstrate their full potential during any university selection process. The course includes master classes, admission test preparation and interview practice. 2017 dates are:

Law 2-14 July

Medicine 16-28 July

Humanities, Social and Political Sciences 30-11 August

 

Computer Science, Engineering and Maths 13-25 August

Student Services

The safeguarding and well-being of students lies at the heart of Concord’s mission and of our summer course.  Students can come to Concord and expect to be safe from harm.

Student Safety

We have a designated Safeguarding Manager, who is supported by a team of House Parents, Pastoral staff and a Counselor, who carefully monitor students.  and activities are professionally staffed.

Lessons

All students receive 21 hours a week of timetabled lessons, made up of a minimum of 15 hours classroom based teaching, and 6 hours of practical functional lessons. Lessons are varied and engaging, and benefit from interaction with others

Excursions

Excursions run twice weekly, with a half day to the local town every Wednesday afternoon, and to a large town or city each weekend. These are supervised by staff, with regular registrations for the older students and fully supervised for the youngest.

Accommodation

All students benefit from a well-furnished single study bedroom on campus with wash basin and security safe. Cleaning is done on a daily basis and a laundry service once a week. Older students benefit from en suite facilities.

Fees include

Our fees include on site accommodation, tuition, all meals, access to on campus sports facilities, daily activities, weekly laundry, one full day excursion and one ½ day excursion per week, course photograph. We also provide a complimentary coach transfer from London Heathrow on the first and last day of each course.
